Why do the most entertaining fights happen in ‘spiritual’ groups? Fake followers to fake gurus, long spiritual sermons to black magic threats, I’ve seen it all!
What I have learnt:
What to do when you find yourself sitting amongst the ‘spiritual’?
- It is better to not to share your own personal spiritual experiences amongst the ignorant.
- A hundred ‘spiritual’ people will judge you in five thousand ways! A slight disagreement can hurt their fragile egos, giving them opportunities to pounce on you. If you are up for the challenge (and some fun) you might as well speak out and enjoy the entertainment! I talk about this in the podcast with Mark Smith here.
- Expect hypocrisy at it’s peak. All the people who dream of having a good social reputation and spiritual fame, the ‘renouncers’ who renounced nothing after they failed to fulfil their material goals will be here trying to succeed in the ‘spiritual realm’, trying hard to impress everyone and denying the ‘material realm’!

4. ‘Spiritual’ people love pouring out all their encyclopaedia of Chakra knowledge.
5. Their biggest challenge is: Pretending not be be angry and smiling like an idiot while hugging the person they want to stab. Have patience, they’ll start yelling sooner or later
6. They know how to brag well. Take notes for your LinkedIn Profile.
7. Run away from tantra enthusiasts before it’s too late. They will try to convince you that having sex with them, drinking & smoking weed is the only way to progress, otherwise you are impeding the flow of your ‘kundalini’ by repressing your desires.
So, go find some ‘normal’ people, commune with nature, or just enjoy your own company and observe your mind in silence. You’ll be a million steps ahead with honesty & integrity without having to call yourself ‘spiritual’.
